MIAMI --> DOMINICAN REPUBLIC --> MEXICO --> PALM SPRINGS --> PASO ROBLES --> MINNEAPOLIS (FINALLY!)
Deciding where to get married when you come from two different places, met in a third, and live in a fourth, can be challenging. We planned to get married in all of the different locations listed above, but finally, through Robert's wisdom, we decided to get married in Minneapolis.
Amanda's family has a lot of history in Minneapolis. They have been living there for four generations. The synagogue where the wedding is taking place is the same synagogue her grandparents were married in 67 years ago (the photo above is from their wedding). The country club where the reception is being held is just down the street from Amanda's childhood home. She spent every day of her summers there, swimming in the pool and eating grilled cheese sandwiches. Her great grandparents were founding members of the club, her grandfather was president, and her father presently sits on the board (and hosts the Passover seder there each year!)
We realized after all the location changes that what was most important to us as we started our lives together as a married couple was honoring family and tradition. We are excited to share these things with all of you! (also, Minneapolis is a pretty hip city... and PRINCE)

AIRPORT
Fly into MSP Airport. From here, it is very simple to get to the hotel. You can either take a taxi, uber, lyft , whatever. Or you can take the Light Rail for $2.50. It is a 30 minute train ride. The station where you are dropped off is one small block from the hotel.
LIGHT RAIL
The Light Rail is extremely simple. We took the train to the hotel to see how it was. Below are our detailed instructions:
- In the Airport, follow signs for the "LIGHT RAIL"
- Take the elevator down to "M"
- Purchase a full local fare for $2.50 a person (officers do check for tickets on the train)
- Take the train that says "MINNEAPOLIS"
- In about 30 minutes, get off at the station "WAREHOUSE DISTRICT/HENNEPIN AVE"
- Walk towards the front of the train, that street is FIRST AVENUE
- TURN LEFT towards the TARGET CENTER
- Walk along FIRST AVENUE for one block, cross N. 6TH STREET
- The LOEWS HOTEL will be on the left side!
RENTAL CAR?
We're suggesting you don't rent a car as the hotel is in the heart of downtown so you can easily walk, use a bike share or uber places... and we will be providing transportation for all off-site wedding events.
THINGS to EAT, SEE and DO
Coming soon... in the meantime, here's one of our friends and man-about-town, Ben Hertz's Guide to Minneapolis.
